Following the sale of the original Motorcycle Collective trailer and tow vehicle, (check out that post here), we are excited to announce that we’ve now purchased and kitted out a new vehicle which you’ll see at our future Monday and Thursday night meet-ups as well as future motorcycling events around the Wellington Region.
We had to add some items to the van to ensure it passed the upcoming warrant; one being a ‘cage’ to separate the cab from the main interior due to the nature of the items we’ll likely be carrying in the back. Then it was on to reinstalling most of the hardware that makes it a mobile workshop plus shelving to store out ‘op shop’ clothing (so we can offer it for sale at anytime).
Our lead volunteer, Liam, is our main driver (not to be confused with his namesake ‘Liam Lawson’), so a big shout out to him and the rest of the volunteers for getting the new MCC 2.0 vehicle on the road !
